JAI Fitness Pro (JAI) personal training is unique in that there is the opportunity for overlap between a western prescription of exercise and an eastern prescription of asana-based yoga in a 1-on-1 setting. The JAI sessions that you purchase are tailored to your personal goals and interests with variety being a key element. Jackie specializes in strength/flexibility training and senior fitness. Additionally, she teaches high intensity cardio-based group fitness classes and various types of yoga classes. She is against body shaming of any type and will not train you on the basis of reaching a future dream body. Don't wait to love yourself - start loving yourself now. Sessions are available for anybody looking to:

Private Yoga

JAI Fitness Pro offers a variety of yoga formats giving clients a well-rounded practice that will not only strengthen and stretch the muscular body but will allow restoration and a greater sense of control over a chaotic mind. Traditionally, the purpose of asanas in yoga was to prepare for hours-long seated meditation. Now, in the US, the purpose of asana has expanded and includes to build strength, develop focus, find balance, increase flexibility, and allow rest. Based on your goals and interests, your sessions will consist of vinyasa, yin, restorative, or a combo of the three.

Vinyasa - A vinyasa yoga practice coordinates breath with movement. Sessions will focus on building eccentric and isometric strength which creates a strong foundation for participation in other demanding activities such as hiking, weight lifting, rock climbing, etc. Vinyasa yoga can be practiced in a heated room or at room temperature.

Yin - A yin yoga practice focuses on gaining flexibility in the muscles and connective tissue, therefore safely increasing range of motion throughout the body. This deep stretch format requires holding each posture for 3-7 minutes with the usage of props as necessary. Yin can be practiced in a heated room or at room temperature.

Restorative - The purpose of restorative yoga is to rest. Contrary to popular belief, it is very different from yin yoga. Minimal stretching is involved with restorative yoga. Multiple props are required - blankets, bolsters, blocks, a strap, sandbags, etc. There are significant physical and mental benefits resulting from a regular restorative practice. Restorative yoga should be done at room temperature.

1-on-1 Meditation

Developing a regular meditation practice is a very beneficial habit to gain. JAI meditation sessions are designed to not only give you the necessary content to begin your meditation practice, but to help you set-up your personal meditation space as well. JAI meditation can be purchased as a separate session or as an add-on to the end of any personal training or private yoga session.

Thai Yoga-Style Assisted Stretching

Thai yoga bodywork is incredibly beneficial for those clients who enjoy manipulation adjustments and assists during a workout or yoga class. The entire session takes place on the floor and will allow you a deeper passive stretch as well as a meditative experience. JAI assisted stretching can be purchased as a separate session or as an add-on to the end of any personal training or private yoga session.
